Southern Middle School Mission Statement
At Southern Middle School our mission is to create a positive learning atmosphere that nurtures active, young creative minds. Through a collaborative effort with teachers, parents, and community members, students are challenged to meet our school’s high expectations. The school’s academic program of study infuses technology, teaches life skills, and encourages students to actively participate in their learning. The school’s curriculum encompasses the development of the total child: moral, intellectual, social, emotional, and physical. As a result, students will be able to demonstrate values that allow them to act with empathy toward humanity in a diverse and everchanging society.
